Casa del mar (hoster of Scuba Puerto Rico ) operates 2 modern Newton 46’ boats, designed for customer convenience and includes amenities such as showers, rinse tanks, comfortable seating, platform and ladders, as well as VHF radio and safety equipment with plenty of shade and a comfortable seating area up top with the captain. Newton Dive Boats have pretty much become the standard in the industry and are a pleasure to dive from.

MV “Pura Vida Diver”:

It was custom built for us by Newton Boats and is ideally suited for scuba diving, snorkeling, day trips, and as a party boat! It is US Coast Guard certified for 60 passengers, but we keep the group of divers onboard much smaller than that, so there is plenty of room for everybody! The Newtons are known for their exceptional sea keeping qualities and fast stable ride, and the “ Pura Vida Diver”  is no exception. It is loaded with all the safety equipment, along with a vast array of modern electronics including a Goos stereo system. We powered it with (2) 450 HP Cummins which can be pushed to a respectable 28kts. This is why we are the only dive operator offering trips to Culebra and US Virgin islands. It is all about the boats. MV “Day Off”:

We were so happy with our first Newton 46’ that we ordered the second Newton two years later. With the same configuration than “Pura Vida Diver”, this boat can cruise comfortably up to 28 kts. With a camera table, fresh water showers, and marine head onboard MV “Day Off”is a one-of-a-kind 46 foot (51' overall) by 16.5 foot Newton Dive Special custom built for Casa del Mar.
Divers will fall in love with all the deck space. No more stepping on dive gear or crashing into your buddy while gearing up. Exits are made easy with the large open transom using a giant stride entry, while re-entry to the boat is as easy using the custom built ladder.
Is equipped with top of the line electronics including IPod stereo hookup and all Coast Guard required safety equipment along with an Offshore First Aid Kit and Oxygen for diver related emergencies.
